La Coudre Self Catering Gite ComplexWe have found the most perfect spot on earth.
Our small village, Genouilly, is based in the Cher but is on the border of both the Lore-et-Cher and the Indre departments, making sightseeing extremely accessible.
Set in green and lightly wooded countryside between the two picturesque villages of Graçay and Genouilly, La Coudre is a gite complex with a traditional oak-beamed Longère (French long house) and a series of old barns what have been renovated into three self-catering gites with a large swimming pool and equipped games room, by owners Debbie and Richard McGarry.
Views of the beautiful, tranquil French countryside with the opportunity of spotting deer strolling across the rolling fields.
There is a plethora of birdlife so twitchers, keep your binoculars handy.
The are area also lends itself to cycling and indeed has had the Tour de France on the doorstep a number of times.
A three kilometre drive takes you to a non fee tennis court and of course, the area abounds in rich history, sensational chateaux, medieval cities, fishing lakes and many other attractions.
